Tricab BVA-PAXD/3C6BK 3x6mm² SHF-1 Marine Power Cable
The Tricab BVA-PAXD/3C6BK is a heavy-duty, high-capacity 3-core 6.0 mm² marine and offshore low-voltage power cable rated for 0.6/1 kV operating service up to 90°C. Engineered for demanding high-ampacity shipboard applications—such as air conditioning compressors, shore power inputs, heavy-duty pumps, and main distribution feeders—it incorporates Tinned Annealed Copper Wire (TACW) conductors to guarantee maximum resistance against salt-air oxidation and moisture ingress.
Insulated and outer-sheathed with Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) SHF-1 thermoplastic compounds, the BVA-PAXD/3C6BK meets strict international marine safety standards, including IEC 60092-350, IEC 60332-3-22 Category A flame propagation benchmarks, and IEEE-45 guidelines. Despite its larger 6.0 mm² cross-sectional conductor size, Tricab’s high-strand construction preserves optimal flexibility for clean routing through tight engine room chases and congested vessel cable trays.
Key Features
-
High Ampacity Delivery: 6.0 mm² core conductors safely carry higher current loads for heavy machinery, inverters, isolation transformers, and distribution sub-panels.
-
TACW Corrosion Resistance: Tinned annealed copper strands resist tarnish and galvanic degradation at lugs, terminals, and distribution blocks in humid salt atmospheres.
-
Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Safety: Complies with IEC 60332-3-22 Cat A flame test; emits minimal smoke and non-corrosive, non-toxic gases under direct flame.
-
SHF-1 Marine Grade Sheathing: Provides robust resistance against UV degradation, oil splashes, chemical exposure, and mechanical abrasion on commercial vessels and rigs.
-
Superior Flexibility: High-strand conductor assembly reduces mechanical resistance during wire pulls and mitigates vibration fatigue over extended operational periods.
