The TBS Electronics 5074520 is a heavy-duty 24V DC / 500A Remote Battery Switch (RBS) engineered for high-current DC power distribution systems in marine, commercial, and industrial applications. Utilizing an advanced bi-stable magnetic latching mechanism, the switch draws zero current in both the ON and OFF states, eliminating parasitic battery drain during extended standby periods and making it ideal for remotely isolating main battery banks, bow thrusters, windlasses, or large inverter systems.

The 5074520 features manual override knobs on top of the unit for physical actuation during emergency isolation or maintenance, along with status output pins for remote LED indicators and digital switching networks. Its robust IP65-rated housing, heavy-gauge tin-plated copper busbars (M10 studs), and high peak surge capacity enable safe remote switching of extreme high-power loads directly at the battery source—reducing long runs of heavy gauge cable.
